And the Winner is . . .

I chose the winner of my owl bead giveaway tonight - a day later than I had planned. I did it the old-fashioned way, with names in a hat. Then I had my son draw a name from the bunch. He picked out rosebud101, who I also know as Mallory, a talented lampworker friend. She also makes murrini! Check out her shop at rosebud101!

Thanks again to everyone who entered and spread the word on Facebook. I really appreciate everyone's support and enthusiasm for my beads. :)

Giveaway WINNER!

I picked the winner the old fashioned way - I wrote down all the entry names and had this random lady (pictured below) pick one.

Wow, she has man hands. Who knew?

Anyway, the winner is nomadcraftsetc! Nomad Crafts Etc is actually a lampwork business run by a husband and wife. I already follow them on Facebook, and you can too at Nomad Crafts Etc. They do a really wide variety of lampwork - from pipes to big hole beads to marbles (check them out!). I will be contacting you soon for your info, Nomad Crafts! Thanks so much to everyone who commented!

Giveaway Winner!

I made a last-minute executive decision to use my own personal random name picker - my daughter. She happens to be awake past her bedtime and was game to help out. Plus, with only a small handful of entries, it was quick work to write down all the names on little pieces of paper. I included one entry for someone who had trouble posting her comment here but contacted me through Facebook and left her comment there. So without further ado . . .

The winner is:

Jo!

Thank you, everyone who entered! I know it wasn't a quick giveaway entry to make, and I really appreciate everyone taking the time to head on over to the Fire Divas blog to check it out.

Lucky Me!

Looky what I won! I entered my friend and fellow Fire Diva Janel's bead giveaway, and her personal random name picker - more specifically her cat Maynard - picked my name! It's only fitting, right? Maynard picks Maybeads.

I feel so lucky because I already own one of Janel's beads (from my recent Charm Swap), and now I'm getting another! Just look at that bead! Janel says it's made with River Rock and Silver Leaf, and the design is made with a silver reactive color and one of her hand-pulled millefioris. All of the glass and techniques she used to make this bead are foreign to me, and much more sophisticated than anything I've ever done, so I can't wait to see it in person!

And in case you've never vistited Janel Dudley Beads, here's just a taste of what Janel can do:

Nubbly Big-Holed Bead - the bumps on this silver bead are expertly-placed.

And this one is the super-star of her shop - Glowing Eyeball BHB glows in the dark!!! Janel hand-pulled all of the millefioris for this bead.
